MISSION STATEMENT

We, the assembly of Corpus Christi Parish, as members of the Roman Catholic Church, are a sacramental, worshipping community on a journey toward fulfillment of the reign of God. We strive to provide a spiritual environment for all people, young and old, without distinction to color, gender or national origin. By this recognition, we affirm to understand and to respect the multi-cultures of our parish family, neighborhood and society. We accept the call to conversion, to the use of our gifts for the benefit of the community, to loving service to one another, and to promoting the everlasting hope in Jesus Christ.

OUR HISTORY

Corpus Christi Parish started as a Mission of St. Edward Church, Corona, in 1993, with Sr. Lucille Martinez as Pastoral Coordinator. Masses were celebrated in the outside cafeteria at Home Gardens Elementary school with supply priests from the surrounding area.

On the Feast of Corpus Christ 1994, Bishop Phillip F. Straling officially designated Corpus Christi a parish and appointed Fr. Gerald DeLuney as pastor. The parish moved into a storefront rental (where the Food-4-Less used to be at) with 203 registered families.

In February 2000, the newly purchased, newly renovated buildings, which had once been medical clinic facilities, made a permanent home for Corpus Christi. The beautiful little church building seats 750 and serves its now 2,031 registered families at four Spanish and three English weekend Masses.

As of January 2026, with 9,610 registered families, Rev. Fidel Rivero is now our appointed parish administrator.
